I found a wooden photo album at my Grandparent’s house recently with the title “Our Honeymoon” on it. I took it home with me and have looked at the snapshots more than a few times since. Everything seems so simple and happy in this time I’ve never known. I am mainly mesmerized by these faces that I know so well, looking so young and innocent. It makes me wonder how I’ll feel, looking back on photographs of my life 50 years after they were taken.

I could only hope for a love as long-lasting and comforting as the one my Grandparents have shared for 57 years. Happy Anniversary, to the most beautiful people I’ve ever known.
